In the right circumstances, CCS and EOR can be linked to sequester significant amounts of CO2 (up to ~100mmscfd / 2 MTA) and extract additional amounts of residual oil (up to ~50mmbo in some places). Finding the right large low BTU reservoir and then locating a large residual oil reservoir a reasonable distance away would make these kinds of solutions quite attractive. EOR using natural sources of CO2 can be replaced with these associated sources of CO2 (as well as industrial sources of CO2). Good technologies exist to safely scale these solutions.
