We cannot pretend that the use of carbon based fuels or carbon based industrial processes will not continue for some time. The reality is that there are tens of thousands of locations with significant carbon emissions. We have the technologies to effectively mitigate these emissions now, but there are some myths about CCS which should be eliminated. CCS is needed to be scaled up to help the Energy Transition whilst Renewables are scaled up and processes optimised.
